CENTER FOR LIFELONG LEARNING

2011 | Sayreville, NJ

The Center is a new 89,000 sf public school that caters to the special needs of autistic and multiply-disabled children from the ages of 3 to 21 years old.  The project includes specialized classrooms, media center, physical therapy rooms, gym, integral garden, and a natatorium that is shared with the community.  Designed to optimize energy performance and make use of natural resources to achieve greater efficiency, this project achieved LEED Platinum for Schools rating and leadership awards from the USGBC of NJ and the EPA.
