GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER HS

2006 | Philadelphia, PA

On behalf of the Delaware Green Building Council, Re:Vision facilitated a five-day community design charrette to generate design concepts (led by Schrader Group Architects) for significant renovations and additions to the aging George Washington School of Engineering and Science.  As part of a post-charrette evaluation, GWSES school principal Linda Ahmed reported that the process was ‘worth every minute’ and was essential to gaining buy-in for the school design from school staff and parents.  School staff noted that the goal-setting session was information and inspirational—helping to set a clear vision for the project and giving the community confidence that they could achieve it.
