Alyson is drawn to projects that embody the values of their stakeholders, stewards, and inhabitants through a sensitive and resourceful design process.

Alyson received her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech where she spent her final year exploring social and architectural relationships of intergenerational and multigenerational living for her undergraduate thesis. After graduating from Virginia Tech, she worked on single-family residential projects in New England that were deeply rooted in local building forms and material traditions to reflect a distinct sense of place. Later, she gained her Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania where she became increasingly interested in preservation’s role in sustainability and social justice, which informed her graduate thesis. Since graduating from Penn, Alyson has worked on adaptive reuse projects in Philadelphia and historic preservation projects in the Pacific Northwest and California.

Outside of the office, you can find Alyson out on the trails training for her next marathon, in the kitchen working on a baking project, or around her neighborhood in pursuit of wildlife sightings with her Brittany Spaniel.
