This multi-facility project includes infrastructure improvements and operations & maintenance changes at PECO’s iconic downtown-Philadelphia headquarters plus 9 regional service buildings, in the service of achieving LEED-EBOM (Existing Building Operations and Maintenance) certification. Work includes substantial HVAC, lighting and controls retrofits, comprehensive plumbing fixture replacements, company-wide adoption of ‘green’ cleaning and improved purchasing and recycling programs, installation of a vegetated roof on the PECO headquarters building, native meadow conversions at service facilities and right-of-ways, and engaging PECO’s employee-volunteer Green Champions. These projects have won a host of awards including DVGBC Leadership Award, Philadelphia Sustainability Award, Philadelphia Water Dept Innovation in Stormwater Award and General Building Contractors Association award. Certification has been earned at each of the service buildings, including 5 Gold and 4 Silver certifications.  LEED-EBOM Gold certification was recently earned for PECO’s headquarters building.
