South Philly Food Co-op is a small space that is a big deal to the hard-working volunteers who have shepherded a vision for the store for over ten years before securing a shell space and hiring Re:Vision to design the fit-out. Every inch counts in the 3,333 SF space and the design is an exercise in efficient flow and operations, accommodating shopping, check-out, dry and cold storage, dedicated delivery/receiving, and produce wash. Salvaged wood elements and SPFC branding add warmth to the previously raw space. With support from Re:Vision, SPFC was awarded a storefront grant from the City of Philadelphia.
