South Philly Food Co-op

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Common-sense green tenant fit-out for a start-up urban co-op.

Three big ideas:

Fresh Food,
Neighborhoody,
Member Owned

Over several years of fundraising, Re:Vision worked with the volunteer Board of South Philly Food Co-op, and, in the 9th inning, a paid General Manager, to design a 4,200SF fit-out of the SPFC grocery.  As a start-up food co-op, SPFC kept budget as a high-priority and Re:Vision focused on the essentials: flows of goods into the store and flows of customers through the store; long-term durability, such as the polished concrete floor and salvaged wood cash wraps; common-sense sustainability that would lower operating costs, such as an air-lock vestibule, LED lighting, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
