As one of the most fundamental building blocks of the built environment, addressing sustainability in homes is critical to scaling efforts to address the energy, water, material resources, and equity challenges of our time. But how does a homeowner begin? In this presentation we first unpack what sustainability in the built environment means, look at the scales of home building projects ranging from DIY to renovations to major new construction projects, and offer a high level framework for thinking about sustainability at home.
